The Brief
To celebrate the launch of Diablo IV’s new season, ‘Loot Reborn,’ 6 influencers were invited to a Blacksmith forge in Twickenham to forge real weapons, and we were asked to capture video and photos, and create a highlight reel edit to showcase the event.
The Results
Alongside conducting interviews with the influencers and blacksmiths to help frame the edit, our video team made the most of our time at the forge- sparks were flying, fire was.. firing, and we got plenty of awesome slow-mo smithing shots. We came prepared with planned interview questions for the group, but also anticipated events of the day would inform questions, interviews were also kept relaxed to accommodate the influencers who felt less confident on-camera, and to focus on their enthusiasm for the activity and love of the game.
The final piece has bespoke graphics and a colour grade that accentuates the reds of the location and hot metals, whilst cooling the shadows to create contrast and make the metal work really pop! It all works together to capture the excitement of the day and the creation of the knives and axes, tied together with a fitting metal soundtrack.
